Should Mourinho Go?

Most of us can only imagine the kind of pressure that the managers of top sports teams are under. Pressure from fans and owners to gt results in addition to he constant media scrutiny.

Mourinho is one of the best managers in the world having won 2 Champions Leagues and 15 domestic competitions in Italy, Spain England and Portugal. However, Chelsea currently stand 15th in the Premier League and have been knocked out of the Capital One Cup. Chelsea's title defence has been a shambles, but the fans stand beside him and the fact he has lasted this long shows the board must have some confidence in him.

Mourinho is often critiqued for his defensive approach to games, but this is easy to defend when they're winning although it can be a bit boring but understandable as results are the most important factor in a teams success. Now Chelsea have found themselves in a run of poor form the pressure on Mourinho has increased. Sacking a manager shows intent and that victory is paramount to the team. A new manager can invigorate the team and create a sometimes very necessary change.

I think it would be for Chelsea to keep faith in Mourinho because of his ability as a manger is undisputed and finding a manger of his quality would be very difficult.Ex- Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti is unattached and provides a good option due to his previous successes particularly winning "La Decima" but whether he is a better manager than Mourinho can be debates.Mourinho is a good fit for Chelsea and will no doubt bring Chelsea back to the top once this run of poor performances is over, but whether the Chelsea hierarchy has the patience remains to be seen.
