Bernie Sanders defeat in New York Primary

Bernie was defeated in the New York Primary leaving many asking what comes next for the Vermont senator. Before New York momentum had looked like it was in hus favour, he had won 7 out of the previous 8 races. During his campaign Sanders has managed to pull huge crowds and has managed to command a huge percentage of young voters. His progressive message based on issues such as universal healthcare and breaking up the big banks had captivated many . The defeat in New York means his chances of narrowing Clinton's delegate lead are slim and means that for him to become the democratic party candidate hinges on California where he will likely have to win by a large margin. If the democrats who have already pledged to support Clinton continue to do so, she can lose every remaining state by a huge margain and still secure the candidacy.
